GVL faced the challenge of redefining its digital presence, revamping its design and improving usability on the web and in administration. The aim was to build a central platform that would provide clearly structured information on the various departments, forms, links, downloads and the company itself, making it more accessible to users, both existing and new customers.
The existing GVL website was fragmented and difficult to navigate. Users had trouble finding relevant information quickly. In addition, the system needed to be designed in such a way that it remained scalable for future expansions.
In order to develop a suitable solution, internal workshops were first held with all GVL stakeholders. The aim was to take into account both the experiences of employees in direct customer contact and internal requirements and wishes.
Another key concern was the ability to respond flexibly to major damage events. For example, to channel incoming enquiries in a targeted manner in the event of a hailstorm. In addition, a powerful search function was to be introduced to enable the necessary information to be found quickly and efficiently.

Solution
To meet these requirements, a UI/UX concept was developed, on the basis of which a modern and modular website was implemented with Pimcore. This enables GVL to capture and maintain content quickly, flexibly and easily.
The website was equipped with a fast and efficient search function, which enables users to quickly find relevant content and access it in a targeted manner. Search results can also be dynamically adjusted and expanded in the future.
A concept was developed for dealing with major damage events, which allows GVL to bundle incoming enquiries in a targeted manner and forward them to the right departments. This means that customers receive feedback more quickly, while the internal departments are relieved of some of their workload.
The new design helps users to quickly find their way around and access the information they need without any detours. On the home page, targeted call-to-action elements provide direct access to frequently used content. The revised navigation concept also contributes to clear and intuitive user guidance.
Highlights
The new form solution offers particular added value for GVL: forms can be created independently, quickly and without technical effort, and published online within a short time. This allows new requests, services or events to be displayed promptly, creating noticeable added value for both customers and internal processes.
The solution is complemented by a newly structured download centre that enables users to find forms, links and documents quickly, clearly and in one central location.
